These recycled glass beads are made by the Krobo People of Ghana, Africa. Powder glass beads are made by crushing glass bottles or any other recyclable glass to a fine powder then they heat it so it all fuses together. Then they pour the molten glass into clay molds, putting a cassava leaf stem in to form the hole. After baking in a very hot oven the stem burns up, and they are ready to be cooled. They have used this technique for hundreds of years, all over Africa.
The large round swirl green and blue beads are from Ghana West Africa, the other smaller green and blue seed beads are from Ghana also. Accented with silver metal beads, Swarovski crystal dangle and silver toggle clasp.
All pieces are designed by me. I make all bracelets to fit a standard 6" wrist unless another size is requested. All my bracelets are meant to gently drape from the wrist slightly onto the hand. When measuring for a specific size, please use a soft measuring tape, fitting snugly around the wrist bone. I will take into account the size it needs to be to fit you perfectly. All pieces are one of a kind and not duplicated.
